Assessments at Symmetry

At Symmetry Mental Health, we provide a range of comprehensive psychological assessments for children, teens and adults tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.  Our services for children and adolescents include Cognitive Assessments, Educational Assessments and Comprehensive Assessments. We take a neuroaffirming approach, offering compassionate and evidence-based support that empowers individuals as well as their families.

Our team works closely with you, schools, healthcare professionals, and allied health providers to ensure a holistic and integrated report and feedback session. With a focus on trust, care, and collaboration, we are committed to supporting every individual on their journey to well-being and personal growth.

All assessments are conducted based on the latest evidence-based guidelines, for example Autism Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) guidelines and Australasian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA) recommendations. We work with local paediatricians and child adolescent psychiatrists, as well as other allied health practitioners, to provide a comprehensive diagnoses and treatment plan.

Educational Assessment

Discover how your child learns best, identify their strengths and areas needing support. Whether they face academic challenges or exhibit exceptional talents, we provide clear insights to help tailor strategies help them succeed at school and beyond.

Cost: $1,800*

Includes: Relevant psychometric assessment(s), Session with parents/carers to discuss presenting concerns and history, Report Writing and Feedback Session

*Additional costs may be included if school observations are required

Additional Assessments

Our clinical psychologists are also here to support with other diagnostic assessments including gender affirmation/ transition assessments (WPATH assessments). Get in touch with us and let us know how we can support.

This is offered to people ages 17+ and could involve around six session with a trained psychologist and a report. These sessions are Medicare rebatable with a Mental Health Care Plan with a referral from a GP.

ADHD Screening
